One Room Challenge- ( Week 6 & 7) REVEAL
It’s HERE! It’s finally here!
I am so excited to report that my very First One Room Challenge is complete! In an earlier weeks post I explained I would no longer be doing the entrance AND the office. I have completed the office and half of the entrance/ boot room.
During week 6 I finished cleaning up the rest of the office, did little paint touch ups and I reupholstered my vintage office char with bouclé fabric! I am so, SO happy with the results. It’s the office of my dreams! I wanted to say another very, very heartfelt thank you to Windsor Plywood, Monarch Carpet one Floors, Pampas Gal, Pretty Pegs, Ruggable, and Illuminate Vintage. These amazing companies really came through for me and it means a lot to me with my small, humble Instagram and blog. Without further ado, here is the office!
Number one and the most important feature is the amazing moulding and trim work supplied by Windsor Plywood Sherwood Park. I chose to do no hanging art so this was a very important feature. The “ikea hack” standing desk we made using pretty peg legs has been a GAME changer. It is so comfortable to have the option to Stand and work. Even better is the ease of use when printing orders and packing things up for the shop! I love that the legs are sleek and modern and simple. It’s gorgeous.
Next, I wanted to share that my husband’s carpentry school desk got a fresh coat of the same ballet white by Benjamin Moore as the walls and it perfectly compliments the profile of the moulding on the walls. Marty the kitty is there to show you how perfect it is. I can’t believe how amazing my chair turned out. The chair was a last minute idea and I am so happy with the results and it feels like the perfect kiss to finish the room.
Next I want to talk about the amazing lighting that Illuminate Vintage provided. They are an incredible company and their work is absolute perfection. I love that they are made to order and that they have extremely unique designs and sales that I have never seen before! In the office I have two of the decordana in mauve and 1 of the Dayton in mauve and black.
Next Marty the kitty would love to show to how much he loves his ruggable rug and is over the moon with it. I love it too and even better that you can wash it right in the washer! so freaking awesome as this room is connected to the front entrance so I am beyond happy about this! I chose the Kamran Coral Rug in 6’x9’.
So next I wanted to share Pampas Gal. She is a local business her e in Edmonton and she is so sweet to supply the amazing fluffy great pampas as well as palm leaves and eucalyptus leaves!
Next I am very, very happy with my vintage wicker lamp that I hung over my desk. I used an Ikea lamp cord and a vintage wicker shade that I have had in storage for years. It is the perfect moody soft lighting I love for the evening.
Finally, I wanted to share the boot room area of our entrance. We had our tile installed by a professional and it is looking like concrete and I am SO happy with it! IT was supplied by Monarch Carpet one and is amazing quality by the brand Daltile in Urban Grey. It has a gorgeous matte finish. Finally the soft blonde coloured floors are incredible ( also from Monarch Carpet one) We chose to go with a very special epoxy resin laminate and it is so sturdy and soft under foot. I am beyond thrilled with the results. We purchased enough to do the entire main floor and I could not be more excited to get this all finished up! This is the half of the entrance that is about 85% complete. We still have to paint the ceiling and beams and our doors are back ordered about 4 weeks so I am happy with the progress we have made so far.
